Welcome back for the new term, and an especially warm welcome to Freshers and anyone else thinking of joining the club.
Lessons
For those new to the game of bridge and wanting to learn how to play, free lessons will be taking place, starting on Thursday, 11th October 2012, at 19:00 in the Diamond Room in Selwyn College.
Freshers' Pairs

The bridge club meets every Thursday of Full Term. Meetings are usually in Selwyn College at 7PM, but be sure to check the timetable. We hold a light-hearted duplicate, and players of any standard are welcome—our current members range from beginners to international players. You can come along with or without a partner (we can always find someone to play with you).
We enter teams in the Eastern Counties League, the Portland Bowl (Inter-University Knockout competition), and other county and national competitions.
Membership costs £6 for the year (discounted after the Michaelmas term). The Thursday duplicates are £1.50 for current Cambridge University students, £2 for everyone else. Events cost £1 extra for non-members. We hold a variety of social events throughout the year, including an Annual Dinner in the Lent Term, a Garden Party in the summer; and don't forget those two highlights of the annual Cambridge sporting calendar: the Football and Cricket Matches against the Chess Club and the Tiddlywinks Club respectively.
